Terms and Conditions

  1. Customer/Seller is responsible for costs associated with shipping.

  2. Customer/Seller is responsible for ensuring package is delivered safely. The Great Plains Trading Post is not responsible for lost or damaged shipments.

  3. Item will be inspected by The Great Plains Trading Post.

  4. Please be advised that all packages are opened and products are inspected..

  5. Upon successful inspection, and providing the product is received within the stated time frame and condition, the Great Plains Trading Post will provide payment within 7 business days by either Zelle or company check .

  6. Please be advised that payments sent totaling over $1,000 require the customer’s social security number (SSN), or Business EIN, Full Name, current or most recent occupation, permanent address, and photo of State Issued Drivers’ License or Passport.

  7. If customer choose payment via check, the following shipping options apply USPS First Class (Free), Priority Mail ($10.30 Fee), Express Mail ($27.30 Fee).

  8. Upon receipt if product is deemed to be "Not As Described" The Great Plains Trading Post reserves the right to cancel the transaction and will send the product back at customer expense.

  9. The Great Plains Trading Post reserves the right to cancel any transaction.

    • Most reputable coin shops and dealers have clear shipping and receiving policies when buying coins sent from collectors or other dealers. These policies are designed to protect both the buyer and the seller, and they often include insurance, tracking, and return guarantees.

    • 1. Insurance and Value Protection

    • USPS Registered Mail can insure packages up to $25,000, with higher limits available for certain services 

    • FedEx often offers private insurance for inbound packages, sometimes up to $75,000 per shipment .

    • Many dealers recommend full insurance for valuable coins, as USPS and private carriers have different coverage rules for currency vs. collectible coins.

    • Always declare the true market value of the coins to ensure adequate coverage. We will appraise before shipping

    • 2. Packaging and Security

    • Coins should be tightly packed to prevent rattling and damage 

    • Use double boxing and wrap all corners with paper tape .

    • Include a contents list and your contact info inside the package 

    • 3. Tracking and Proof of Delivery

    • Use registered mail or FedEx/UPS tracking to confirm shipment status .

    • We dealers require signature upon delivery for high-value shipments
